Bracknell RNA support DebRA UK

The Bracknell RNA recently held their quiz night at the Memorial Hall in Binfield and all attendees enjoyed the evening, many thanks for all those who attended and assisted with the function.
As a result of the raffle and auction the Bracknell RNA were able to raise monies for the evening for a nominated charity, this being DebRA UK. DebRA UK is the national charity working on behalf of people with the genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). One of our Shipmate’s at the Bracknell Branch lost a grandson to this painful condition 3 weeks into his short life, his fellow shipmates agreed that we would support this local charity and promote the awareness, of which will hopefully bring further financial support by way of further donations. Melissa is one of the children featured on the DebRA UK website who suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). So if you have had a bad week or are feeling sorry for yourself, spare a few moments reading through the details of Melissa’s normal day via the DebRA website or read some further real life stories – somehow that bad week will develop into a distance memory.
